From One Great Business,
We Build the Next Great Platform.
Our Mission
At 404 Endeavors, our mission is to build exceptional platform companies that create lasting value—for investors, companies and their employees, and the communities they serve.
Our Approach
We don’t just invest. We build.
Our approach is grounded in trust and doing the work alongside our partners to create meaningful growth.
-
How We Invest
We acquire founder- and family-owned businesses and play an active role in scaling them through strategic add-on acquisitions, technology enablement, and operational and commercial excellence.
-
How We Operate
We focus on one platform at a time, grounding each investment in proprietary research and data. Our approach is defined by speed, integrity, and deep respect for business owners and the companies they’ve built.
-
Our Capital Model
We lead with our own capital and personally invest meaningful equity in each company we acquire. When necessary, we also bring in like-minded, value-added co-investors to participate alongside us.
Our Focus
Our Investment Criteria
We partner with companies that are profitable, purpose-driven, and built for long-term growth. Our criteria help us identify businesses where we can be a true value-added partner.

Demonstrated history of profitable growth and consistent free cash flow, with current EBITDA between $4 - 9 million.

03. Situation

04. Scalability
Strong potential for continued organic and inorganic growth, with opportunities to enhance core operational and technological infrastructure over time.
05. Stewardship
A company that operates with integrity and care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to employees, customers, and long-term relationships.
Our Story
Why 404: More Than a Number
Andrew Hudis and Elie Javice first discussed starting a business as college roommates at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, they pursued separate careers—Andrew in investing, Elie in technology and operations—but remained close and kept the idea alive.
A decade later, drawing on years of experience, shared values, and complementary capabilities, they took the leap and launched their own firm. They named it 404, after the number of their dorm room where the idea was born.
